Fusion or Confusion: Blending the Major and Planned Gift Ask

Successful organizations provide donors with multiple opportunities to donate (multiple channels; multiple times). Donors sometimes get confused and burned out by uncoordinated and ‘competing’ solicitations for their support. One of the greatest challenges, and therefore opportunities, is examining how to ‘blend’ the major gift and planned gift ask.  In this session Guy will examine the concept of blended asking; the current models that exist that combine major and planned giving; the steps that can be taken to successfully integrate the two approaches; and the competing perspectives defining giving.
