Summary:

Financial Advisors and Charitable Gift Planners often deal with the same clients.

However, whether you call them client or donor, the people we serve always benefit from a coordinated approach.

CAGP-Greater Vancouver is pleased to partner with colleagues at Fraser-Valley Estate Planning Council to host respected Financial Advisor Mike Todd as keynote speaker at our joint-meeting.

Join us for an important opportunity to connect while exploring how we can work together to better serve our clients and donors.

Together we will discuss:

  • Why should financial advisors concern themselves with philanthropy?

  • How can gift planners and financial advisors work well together?

  • What do gift planners need to know about donor-advised funds?

Our Speaker: Mike Todd

Mike is one of those rare people who loves what he does, and isn’t afraid to say it.

He started his career with 12 years in wealth management, 10 of those with Fidelity Investments. He then spent a decade in the charitable sector before moving to China for two years, simply because he wanted to see that country and experience it for himself.

Over the past 8 years, Mike has become one of Canada’s leading experts on the donor-advised fund, a unique and flexible charitable giving vehicle.

In particular he specializes in helping wealth managers consider and incorporate philanthropy into their practices, and coaches them on drawing their clients into this deeply personal conversation.
