Don’t Wonder What They Wanted: Clarifying Donors Expectations

Tabs

Event Info
Summary:

Lunch & learn with Jen Pederson, Philanthropic Advisor Saskatoon Community Foundation about clarifying the details on what donors really want after their death.

In estate planning, it is often said that one’s will speaks for them after their death. When it comes to gifts in will and of life insurance, sometimes the will is short on details. Once the gift is realized, you want to feel confident in how to use that gift to fulfill the donor’s wishes and honour their life, not despair over uncertainty and lost opportunities to learn from them while they were alive.

Using stories and tried and true fundraising and relationship management fundamentals, Jen Pederson will help you prepare for donor conversations that will help make sure you’re not left wondering what they would have wanted. Bring your own stories and tips for a casual and engaging conversation about one of the hardest parts of our jobs. The goal is to leave with confidence and reminders of key tasks to ensure you are able to honour your donors through your organization’s work.
