Staying Connected With Donors While We’re Apart
Of the many challenges we’ve faced since the global pandemic began in March, one of the things fundraisers are struggling with the most is not being able to meet with donors face to face. As we’ve all adapted, learned, pivoted, Zoomed and e-mailed more than we ever thought we would - we’ve needed to get creative and find new ways to connect with donors.
In this highly interactive session, you will have the chance to connect with other fundraisers, talk about the issues you've faced, and share what you’ve done and learned in the last 9 months.
Join us for some real-life case studies of what charities have tried, and participate in discussion groups to have a dialogue about your challenges, celebrate success and exchange ideas.
Case study presentations will include:
- Sasha Manes, Manager of Major Gifts and Stewardship, Philanthropy YWCA Toronto will present on securing a major gift during a pandemic.
- Lynne Wester, Principal and Founder Donor Relations Guru Group, will share an example of how one charity used books - yep, old fashioned paper books - to connect in a new way with donors.
- Karen Brown, Director, Legacy & Estate Giving will share how St. Paul's re-thought their annual planned giving donor tea event.
Please note this is a highly interactive session. You will need a microphone and a camera is recommended.
