This presentation will introduce you to the free web-based sources available and demonstrate how to use them using a prospect research lens.

With the Canadian fundraiser in mind, this presentation will introduce you to the free web-based sources available and demonstrate how to use them using a  prospect research lens. By learning how to look for and identify useful information about your prospects, you will be able to more strategically inform your fundraising approach.

Your presenter, Vienna Harrison:

Vienna has been the lone prospect researcher for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation for the past seven years. With a Degree in Linguistics and a very different intended career path, it was a happy accident that she fell into both fundraising and then prospect research. The past seven years have involved supporting the Fund Development team at ACHF in achieving their annual fundraising budget of $20M+ with a focus on the Major and Principal Gifts team, creating and implementing a pipeline management system for the team, taking a major role in improving the quality and organization of data within the ACHF database, and regularly discovering how her job becomes more interesting every day. When she’s not at work, Vienna is busy at home with her husband and two young daughters, and is the lead vocalist in a rock and roll cover band.
