The old paradigm is that when a donor makes a bequest the charity would be worried about their giving decreasing. Now we have insights from experts in Canada that in fact, when actively engaged, donor giving goes up when a bequest intention is secured. There is so much more potential now that planned giving is more major gift focused than just “legacy” strategy.
