Creating Magical Donor Visits

Registration is closed for this event

Twas the night before my visit and I was prepared.

To meet, greet and listen and be inspired by what’s shared.

And I’ll hear when I’m leaving, driving just out of sight.

“What a wonderful visit…now my future looks bright.”

Join us on November 30th for a fun-filled, participatory session focused on how we can improve our face-to-face engagements with donors/clients. Following a short introduction by Norma Cameron, she will lead us through a number of ‘reflect and share’ activities at your table. This approach is designed to tap into the depth and breadth of skills and knowledge that resides within the CAGP Vancouver Island Chapter membership.

The learning objective is to provide you with new tips and techniques you can apply before, during and after your donor/client visits to deepen and strengthen your relationship over time.

This event will have a festive twist, loosely based on the poem, Twas A Night Before Christmas (written by Clement Clarke Moore) as 2022 marks the 200th year of its first publication. And it follows the tried-and-true principle that adults learn best when asked to reflect upon facts, apply it to their own situation and share the results.

It will be conducted in a fairly rapid style (think speed-dating), allowing us to move through a number of activities. And you’ll receive activity handouts with the wider intention that, if desired, you can repeat the process when you return to your office.
