Using Plain Language in Gift Planning and Why It's So Hard to Do

Registration will open on August 13th, 2026 7:00 PM

You've likely read studies or heard presentations on how important it is to use plain language when speaking with clients. We know using words that are easy to understand will increase business, yet industry jargon can easily creep into our emails, websites and client conversations. So how can we recognize when we're doing this, stop it from happening, and still share our information in a professional way? In this presentation, hear from Abby Schneider, Impact Advisor at Saskatchewan Community Foundation, about tools and strategies used in journalism and communications to create clear messaging and how we can apply them to our own industry.
