Summary:

Let me lead you on a “tail” of stories from a career in fundraising. Hear about gift planning from the side of my desk, including the regrets, the successes and what I’m doing now. I’ll share with you what investment resulted in a 400% increase in expectancies.

Your take away will be focused on what you can do today, and tomorrow, to help donors make the gifts that matter to them.

About Marni:

Marni Tuttle wants to see more women in the C-Suite. She wants more girls playing sports. And more women in tech. She keeps working in fundraising to address equity.

Marni is Chief Strategy Officer for the Nova Scotia SPCA.

Marni started fundraising in a university call centre working for a donation to the student society she chaired. That work became 30-years of volunteering in her community, sports, and political campaigns. Her career includes senior roles in organizations in the education, environment, continuing care and animal welfare sectors. As an entrepreneur and consultant, she has experienced fundraising in health care, arts and culture, and social causes.

There are almost more letters after Marni's name as in it. She's earned a BA (English), BSc (Computing Science) and Masters in Electronic Commerce, all from Dalhousie University. She held her CFRE for 12 years. Marni lives near Kjipuktuk with her husband and four daughters.
