Event Info
Summary:

Presented by Paul Nazareth, VP Education and Development, Canadian Association of Gift Planners

For many high net worth clients, charitable giving is something they are already doing, but, as always, planning is the key to multiplying both philanthropic impact and their personal fulfillment. We will share insight into the current landscape of Canadian philanthropy and where clients are already engaged in it. We will also share case studies of not just tax benefits but more importantly how to have 'The Philanthropic Conversation' about personal legacy through asset based giving and estate planning that can help shape that vision.

As a charity professional you will leave with:

  • A better understanding of how advisors and donors work on major and planned gifts
  • A more detailed understanding of where complex major and planned gifts fit into your fundraising programs
  • An expanded network of professional advisors who are engaged and aware of philanthropic planning

As an advisor you will leave with:

  • Conversational tools to more deeply engage with clients and add value to their philanthropic planning
  • How to grow your book of business and engage new clients through the philanthropic conversation
  • A better understanding of many new trends in philanthropy (advised funds, crowdfunding, social-impact movements, etc.)
