Presenter Jeffrey Norwig will deliver a high level overview of the process of administering an estate in Saskatchewan, from when the deceased passes away to the final passing of accounts with the beneficiaries. 

Jeff will look at areas such as applying for letters probate/administration, dealing with estate assets, administering the estate to the beneficiaries, and more. Jeff will also present on the benefits of having a Will as part of the estate administration process.

 Finally, Jeff will focus on how this process can impact charitable beneficiaries.

About the Presenter

Jeffrey Norwig was born and raised in Wolseley, Saskatchewan. In 1998, he attended the University of Regina and obtained an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a focus in marketing and finance. In 2002, he attended the University of Saskatchewan to obtain his law degree. Jeffrey joined McDougall Gauley LLP in Regina in 2007, and became a partner in 2019.

Jeffrey’s areas of practice are estate planning, estate administration, real estate and corporate/commercial work. Jeffrey is currently a member of the CAGP South Saskatchewan Chapter. With his practice in the area of estate planning and estate administration, CAGP has been beneficial to him in his role as an advisor to clients.
