Join us on February 18th at 1:00pm for a chat with Jack Silverstein. Jack has over 25 years of fundraising experience and he will be sharing some of those experiences with us, highlighting the Top 10 myths about fundraising and his insights into legacy gifts.

Jack Silverstein has over 25 years of fundraising experience in the charitable sector, including professional positions with Carleton University, the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Executive Director of the Annual Campaign for the Jewish Federation of Ottawa and President of the Ottawa Jewish  Community Foundation and most recently as the Vice President of Financial Development for the  National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA.

Jack will be sharing some of his experiences with us, highlighting the Top 10 Myths about fundraising, as well as his insights into legacy gifts.  Topics will include:

  • What to do with In memoriam/In honor donors
  • The How vs. Why debate
  • Becoming one of many
  • Mining your own database for upgradable donors
