CAGP GTA Rise & Connect Breakfast

Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 CAGP GTA Mentorship Program, an exclusive member benefit that pairs emerging gift planning professionals with experienced practitioners for mentorship, career guidance, and professional development.

The programme officially launches at the Rise & Connect Breakfast and continues through June 2027. This Breakfast will include the following two presentations.

Presentation Title: Lift as You Climb: The Power of Mentorship in any Career

Speaker: Stephanie King, Managing Broker and Director of Compliance at RARE Real Estate

Description: In this session, Stephanie King, Managing Broker and mentorship advocate, shares how mentorship transformed her path from ambitious newcomer to industry leader, educator, and founder of her own mentorship collective. While her story is rooted in real estate, the lessons are universal: real mentorship builds people up with structure, knowledge, and accountability rather than dependency. Stephanie explores what it means to lead with generosity, invest in others, and create a culture where everyone rises together. Attendees will leave with practical strategies for finding a mentor, becoming one, and building a legacy defined not by personal success, but by the people they’ve helped along the way.


Bio: Stephanie King is a Managing Broker, educator, and mentor whose passion for real estate has shaped her life since a young age. Trading in real estate since 2015 with over 10 years in the industry, and earning her Broker’s designation in 2019 as a key milestone in her five-year plan. Stephanie has built her career on the belief that success is best measured by how many people you lift as you climb. As Managing Broker and Director of Compliance at RARE Real Estate, Stephanie supports and guides an entire brokerage of agents, ensuring they are equipped, compliant, and confident in their businesses. Known affectionately as the “Compliance Queen,” her leadership philosophy centers on real mentorship and structure, helping agents build businesses of their own rather than creating dependency. Mentorship is woven through everything Stephanie does. She is the Founder of House of King, a mentorship-driven collective built on the pillars of Legacy, Leadership, and Loyalty. As a TRREB Instructor, she welcomes new members into the profession through New Member Orientation and technology training. Her volunteer leadership with TRREB includes the Young Professionals Network Committee, the Professional Standards Task Force, and the REALTOR®️ Quest Task Force, all focused on guiding realtors through evolving rules, ethics, and career growth.

Presentation Title: Cultivating magic with AI: Practical Considerations for Nonprofits

Speaker: Jason Shim, Chief Digital Officer, Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience

Description: Looking to understand the latest developments in AI and how it may be relevant to nonprofits? This session is for you. This session will include an overview of what’s out there, what to watch out for, and the tools that people are using across the sector. You will learn about practical examples, tactics, and tools when using AI and leave with a clearer sense of next steps for you and your organization.

Learning objectives:
1. A broad understanding of AI tools and how they can be applied for day-to-day activities and operations.
2. An understanding of what AI can and cannot do as well as best practices for ensuring accuracy and mitigating risk.
3. Case studies and examples of AI usage in nonprofits


Bio: How can we harness technology to make a difference in the world? That’s the question Jason loves to explore with organizations. Jason serves as Chief Digital Officer of the Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience which aims to build a digitally-enabled nonprofit sector, where Canada’s diverse nonprofits use data and tech to advance their mission and multiply their impact. As an experienced digital executive, Jason has consistently provided leadership to help organizations stay ahead of the technology curve. He has successfully championed organization-wide digital-first approaches and has developed and implemented strategies that support operations, marketing, fundraising, and program delivery. Jason also serves as an editor for Ledger, a journal focused on blockchain research, and has previously contributed his expertise to the boards of Ontario 211 and NTEN, promoting the skillful and equitable use of technology.
