Are you equipped for the complexities of a rapidly changing future? Leaders are expected not only to survive but also thrive in an increasingly interconnected world where small things can make an enormous difference, and changes occur rapidly, and often with unintended consequences. We will start the day by exploring the latest concepts of systems-thinking which helps leaders to see larger systems and forces at play.
Don’t expect powerpoint presentations or lengthy lecturing from Lee and Carla. This is a highly interactive session that uses power-neutralizing techniques of engaging people so that every opinion in the room is heard, whether that opinion comes from an introvert or an extrovert; from a person with a position of power in an organization, or a person at the bottom of the pecking order. The wisdom of those in the room will be tapped into quickly and effectively. You will learn how to use these simple engagement techniques for your own leadership practice.
This workshop translates recent leadership and organizational management academic research into a practical exploration of implications for you, for the leadership in your organization, and what this means for Canada’s charitable sector.
We welcome attendees of all levels of management and leadership for this session.
