Summary:

CAGP-NS is pleased to present Roger Sinclair, Partner, SBW Wealth Management & Employee Benefits as our third speaker for the CAGP-NS 2018-2019 professional development season. He will address gifts of life insurance: how they work and what happens when they don't.

Featuring Roger Sinclair, CFP | Partner |SBW Wealth Management & Employee Benefits

The gift of insurance can be an effective way to leave a legacy to a charity of choice. The problem: not all policies make good gifts. This session will take a closer look at insurance and assess whether the policy will deliver a gift in the future, and if the proposed gift even makes sense for your organization. Roger will examine common mistakes made when accepting gifts of insurance and how doing your homework can ensure both your donor and your organization can embrace the benefits.

What you will take away?

  • An understanding of different types of policies and how to identify those that make good gifts.
  • Things to look for when presented with a policy gift.
  • Steps to take in accepting a gift of life insurance.
