Does it feel like your organization is in a rut? That the way you do things could be more effective? All organizations, and people, fall victim to the same old same old. This workshop will look at what Abundance Canada did to evolve itself, and the lessons learned from the process. Getting unstuck is hard work but whether the need is big or small, we can all do things to help organizations evolve for the better.
Please join us for this informative lunch and learn session presented by Darren Pries-Klassen, CEO of Abundance Canada. In 2016 Darren led the successful rebranding and governance restructuring of Abundance Canada, previously known as Mennonite Foundation of Canada, a faith-based, donor-advised foundation serving generous individuals across the country.
Prior to his current role he worked in church ministry and was a gift planning consultant for 11 years with Mennonite Foundation of Canada. He has degrees in Theology and Leadership. He has completed the CREST leadership program and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation.
Darren has served on several boards including: Kitchener-based Kindred Credit Union, Welcome Inn Community Centre in Hamilton, and has served as the Chair of both the National Board of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) and the CAGP Foundation Board. He currently sits on the Board of Imagine Canada.
Darren is a thought leader on generosity and charitable giving, he speaks regularly on these topics at events and conferences across Canada, and is a bridge builder between the faith-based community and the wider charitable sector.
Born and raised on the Saskatchewan prairie, Darren and his wife Monika now make their home in St. Catharines, Ontario.
