Membership


CAGP-ACPDP™ is the only national association dedicated to the profession of Gift Planning.  It was formed around 1992 and formally incorporated in 1997.  We now have around 1400 members from numerous organizations across Canada.  This   growth in membership is directly related to the way members consider CAGP-ACPDP™ an essential resource - knowing that this organization will benefit you immensely in your gift planning profession. 

Benefits of membership include; the opportunity for valuable networking through local RoundTables and nationally, periodic and timely communications (including the CAGP-ACPDP™   Planner and updates to government legislatoin affecting the technical issues of   gift planning) mentoring and idea sharing, discounted job posting services, newly revised Planned Giving For Canadians* by Frank   Minton CD-ROM, access to A Charitable Guide To Planned Giving* website, new website with additional features like 'Ask an Advisor' and 'Message Boards', and a discounted annual subscription fee to www.planforgifts.com*.
  
Twenty local volunteer committees operate under the auspices of CAGP-ACPDP™ RoundTables - each one providing local educational seminars and workshos,  and networking   opportunities. 
  
CAGP-ACPDP™ National Educational Offerings now include; CAGP-ACPDP™ Annual National Conference, Original and Advanced Canadian Gift Planning Courses. CAGP-ACPDP™'s three-day Annual National Conferences include educational tracks for all   knowledge levels and networking opportunities with colleagues from across   Canada. The nationally   recognized CAGP-ACPDP™ Canadian Gift Planning Course was founded in 1990,   originally taught by Frank Minton and Lorna Somers.  It is now offered three times a year   in beautiful and remote locations.  Members of CAGP-ACPDP™ have access to reduced fees to both the CAGP-ACPDP™ Annual National Conference and CAGP-ACPDP™ Canadian Gift Planning Courses.
  
Members of CAGP-ACPDP™ are actively encouraged to follow CAGP-ACPDP™ Ethical and Professional Standards.  Click here to view CAGP-ACPDP™ Code of Ethics.
  
Membership is a professional membership   belonging to the individual.  Members take their membership number with them if   they change employers.  Membership is valid for one year from the approval   date.  For membership questions, please contact the National Membership   Coordinator at membership@cagp-acpdp.org.
