
2011 Friend of CAGP-ACPDP™ Award Recipient
During the CAGP-ACPDP™ Annual Conference Banquet on April 14th, 2011, it was with great pleasure that the CAGP-ACPDP™ Board of Directors honoured the recipients of the
2011 Friend of CAGP-ACPDP™ Award to
Brian Shea and DeWayne Osborn.
Brian Shea is a 21-year veteran of gift planning presently serving as Vice President, Fundraising, Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation in Edmonton. Brian has held leadership roles with organizations in healthcare and education in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Nova Scotia.
In addition to being an active CAGP member as a Roundtable speaker, Brian served on CAGP's Board of Directors (1997-2000) as Treasurer and Membership Chair. Brian is a member of the Education Committee (2000-Present). Brian shares his depth and breadth of gift planning experience widely, including CAGP Conferences where his foundational half day gift planning overview session is a repeated offering.
DeWayne Osborn is the General Manager, Compliance Officer, and in-house expert on charitable and planned giving at Lawton Partners. In 2003, DeWayne received the Certified General Accountants Association of Manitoba Sharing Expertise Award and in 2011 he received the Manitoba RoundTable Friend Award. DeWayne is a Past Chair of the National CAGP Board of Directors and is a sought after speaker, consultant and advisor on planned giving issues. · practiced or operated in an exemplary and ethical manner;
· exemplified vision, talent and dedication to CAGP-ACPDP™ and society;
· made a significant contribution to CAGP-ACPDP™ or to gift planning in Canada.
A call for nominations is put out each year. A "Friend of ~ Ami(e) de CAGP-ACPDP™" is identified by a committee of the Board of Directors of CAGP-ACPDP™, approved by the Board and is recognized during the annual CAGP-ACPDP™ Conference.
The Canadian Association of Gift Planners would like to recognize Brian Shea and DeWayne Osborn for their continuing dedication to the field of planned giving and for their tireless contributions to the CAGP-ACPDP™. Thank you and congratulations!
